“My Hedge Veg” provides an opportunity for both buyers and producers.
For buyers it is a live view of what produce is available in their neighbourhood at any given time of day on any day of the year.
For producers it is a chance to promote and advertise their products to an audience on a daily basis. Opening, editing and closing the stall as appropriate.
My Hedge Veg was born from the simple desire to buy more and find more homegrown produce.
For a consumer it tastes better. It’s socially more responsible as it comes with very minimal food miles and ticks the boxes for being seasonal, mainly organic and/or not mass farmed.
There are merits in knowing you are supporting and rewarding a local neighbour or grower.
Locally sourced food and produce tells a better story around the table with friends.
